Troy Winters is the founder of Mustard Seed Ministries. During a leadership-training course in 2005, Troy was given a divine directive that changed his life. For the first time he traveled to New Orleans to work and serve. Moved by the friendships he made during his stay, he promised to return and continue the work he began. Today, Troy leads groups of volunteers through the home repair process in the mission to change lives one home at a time.
Aaron Christenson lost his eyesight at age twenty-six and came to Christ three years after. Today as a Co-Director of the MSM team and a disability advocate, Aaron takes careful consideration of recipient families and their needs. While Aaron does a lot of work behind the scenes coordinating volunteers and managing project bookings, he comes out to every project site to see where MSM can help more. We have many stories to share with you about how Aaron will meet any challenge to make sure our recipient families are taken care of.
Michelle Winters is Troy Winter’s right-hand woman. Michelle is often on site with our volunteers organizing meals and leading fellowship among our groups. Michelle has served MSM since its beginning and she is committed to keeping each project a loving and safe atmosphere for both our volunteers and our home-repair receiving families.
Kenneth Van Dyke is our licensed construction expert for MSM. Ken visits project sites to make sure our work is Michigan code compliant and meets our safety expectations.
